Please note there is now a minimum shipped order value of $100, if your order is less than $100 (excluding shipping), you will be given the choice to order more coral or have your shipment canceled and refunded.
All shipments are shipped using FedEx Priority Overnight. Most shipments will arrive on or before 10:30 am. Some rural areas have a delivery commitment time of 12:30 or as late as 4:30 pm, please email us if you have any questions. Next day air shipments are not “guaranteed” to arrive on time. No refunds or credits will be given for shipping under any circumstances!
Note: Shipping is to billing address ONLY unless other arrangements are made via email.
Our prized coral specimens and frags are shipped with heavy duty bags to prevent leaks, Styrofoam boxes with cardboard shells, with heat or cold packs depending on environmental conditions.
FedEx ships next day Monday through Thursday. We do not offer or recommend Saturday shipping. If your order is late for Saturday delivery, you will not receive the corals until Monday. There is a higher rate of late shipments for Saturday delivery.
We currently do not ship any products (live or dry goods) outside of the 48 continental United States. Live stony coral exports require CITES paperwork and extra expenses which make the process too expensive and time consuming for small shipments.
If you place an order and then ask to cancel it, you will be refunded your order amount LESS the 3% CC/Paypal processing fee that we are charged(processors do not refund this 3% under any circumstances). We return the 3% fee to you in the form of a Cherry Corals gift certificate.
Local Pickup:
You may pickup at our facility in Livonia, Michigan. You will automatically be charged sales tax for this shipping option. Please pick a date at checkout or contact us to pickup your order.
Shipping Schedule
Livestock shipping dates must be scheduled with Cherry Corals. Either use the date picker at checkout, or contact us. The date you pick is the day the order ships, you will receive it the next day. We do not ship anything live unannounced or unscheduled. You will receive a tracking number via email the evening before your shipment arrival. In the event of inclement weather or any shipping liability, please be aware that we are not liable for shipping delays to your busy schedule! We highly encourage you to take delivery via your local FedEx facility! You can request to have it shipped “hold at location” and it will be held at an office for pickup at your convenience. We will do our best to keep you updated and aware of any possible shipping problems. We guarantee live arrival, but in regards to all personal time and expenses due to unforeseen shipping delays and consequences, the person/persons is responsible.
All corals on the site are what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG), unless noted otherwise. If we feel a coral differs from the photo on the site, is damaged, missing, or is otherwise not healthy to ship, we will contact you and offer a refund or replacement of the coral in the photo. If we are unable to contact you before your ship out, your shipment may be delayed or if available an identical coral may be substituted.
Don’t hesitate to call to discuss ship dates and the status of your order at 734-776-5457 or 248-345-0967. All orders must ship within 2 weeks of order date. If you cannot accept a delivery during thing time please contact us! At your request, your order can be cancelled and refunded (less 3%) anytime during the shipping window of 2 weeks. After 2 weeks you can still cancel an order and you will be issued a store credit, valid for 1 year.
Cherry Corals will work with you to find a suitable shipping date that accommodates your busy schedule and ours. You will receive a tracking # email from our site confirming your order has shipped. If you do not receive an email by the night before your order is to ship, please call or email us to confirm the shipment date.
Guarantee
Our corals are healthy and happy when shipped out. We have close to a 99% success rate when shipping corals with our packing techniques! If for some reason your order (or an individual coral) does not survive the trip you will receive a credit towards another order via a gift certificate, we do not issue refunds. In the event of a large partial loss or a total loss of your shipment we may decide to send you a replacement shipment. Any replacements or credits issued are only valid for one replacement coral or credit. If you place an order and then ask to cancel it, you will be refunded your order amount LESS the 3% CC/Paypal processing fee that we are charged(processors do not refund this 3% under any circumstances). You must notify us via email of DOA corals within 2 hours of delivery! Do not throw away any corals, as we may ask you to provide photos of the corals. This credit will be valid for one year. There is no refund on shipping charges under any circumstances. Canceled orders or coupon errors will be refunded, please allow 1-2 weeks for this to appear on your billing statement. If you have DOA on a free shipping order, we may at our discretion subtract our actual shipping costs per item for shipping from your credit. All purchases assume the customer has intermediate to advanced reefing experience. We are not responsible for errors in acclimation, general care (over or under lighting, water flow, water chemistry, temperature, or inter species coral aggression). Please ask if you are unsure, we are here to help! In some rare cases your credit may depend on pictures of the expired coral, or we may request coral skeletons be sent back to us. Charge backs for the entire shipment including shipping with out contacting us via email are illegal and will be prosecuted for fraud. We can only ship to the billing address and to the cardholder. We may ask to allow 2-3 weeks for stressed or damaged corals to be evaluated for DOA. Many corals bounce back and begin to quickly recover from shipping stress. Free ship frag pack DOA’s will be issued store credit, which will be the discounted price in the pack, minus shipping charges. If possible we will ship replacement coral with another order.

Please note we do not ship right before and during major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and July 4th). The risk to live coral shipments is simply too high, due to the increases in overnight shipping at these times. We do not ship the week before Christmas, or the span from Christmas to New Years’s Day.
